What's included in every rental

• Air conditioning, power steering and a radio, across the whole fleet.
• Fully comprehensive insurance, including passenger liability.
• 18% VAT.
• Mileage charge — there is nothing extra to pay for the distance you drive.
• Delivery and collection anywhere in Malta, including Malta International Airport (see delivery & collection for the exceptions).

Driver requirements

• Drivers must be over 21 years of age and must have held a valid, current driving licence for at least two years.
• Drivers under 25 incur an additional charge of €10 per day.
• Drivers over 75 may be subject to restrictions and/or additional charges. Please contact us before booking so we can confirm the position for you.

Insurance and excess

All vehicles are fully comprehensively insured. The compulsory comprehensive cover reduces the insurance excess from €1,000 to €500, and also covers the refund of your payment should a booking be cancelled.

That remaining €500 excess can be waived entirely by purchasing our No Deposit Car Hire — Cover Zero Excess at an extra €10.00 per day. With it, the rental proceeds without any deposit for accidental damage, and your liability in the event of damage is zero.

If you choose not to purchase the zero-excess cover, a pre-authorisation or block of €500 will be placed against a credit or debit card as a guarantee.

Deposits and pre-authorisations

Separately from the damage excess, a pre-authorisation or block of €150 is expected on delivery, held as a guarantee against traffic fines. A credit card is not required for this — we accept a pre-authorisation against a debit card.

Booking and payment

• A booking is considered secured only once a 25% deposit or full payment has been made.
• All secured bookings automatically benefit from any special offers or reductions we introduce from time to time — you don't lose out by booking early.
• If the vehicle type you selected is unavailable, we undertake to upgrade your booking to the next vehicle type at no cost to you.

Fuel policy

When you collect your car at Malta International Airport, the vehicle is delivered with half a tank of fuel, charged at the normal pump prices available at filling stations across the islands. We expect the vehicle to be returned with an almost empty tank.

If you would prefer a different arrangement, tell us — we're happy to accommodate it.

Delivery and collection

Delivery and collection to or from any location in Malta, and specifically at Malta International Airport, is included in the price.

We reserve the right to apply extra charges in certain circumstances — for example delivery or pick-up on our sister island of Gozo, delivery or collection outside our normal working hours, or very short rentals. Where any extra charge applies, you will be told beforehand, never afterwards.

Please request these at the time of booking so we can have them fitted before delivery.

Rental duration

The minimum car hire charge is equivalent to three days' rental.

Personal belongings

Traffic fines

Traffic fines incurred during the rental are the responsibility of the driver or drivers. This is the reason for the €150 pre-authorisation described under deposits and pre-authorisations.

Late bookings

Reservations placed after 20:00 for delivery within the following twelve hours cannot be guaranteed through the website alone. In that case please call us on +356 9949 8140 to confirm verbally — we will do our best to accommodate you.
